Luanda, ANGOLA, February 18 - Four legal instruments, in the areas of visa facilitation, businessmen, customs cooperation and mutual administrative assistance, higher education, science, technology and innovation, as well as at the level of the Higher Institute of International Relations and the Diplomatic Academy of Uruguay were signed on Monday in Luanda between the Angolan and Uruguayan authorities. ,

These instruments were signed by the Angolan Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Manuel Augusto, and of Finance, Archer Mangueira, and the Head of Diplomacy of Uruguay, Rodolfo Nin Novoa.

Speaking to journalists after signing, Angolan Foreign Minister Manuel Augusto said that the action is part of the Government's strategy of diversification of the economy, namely, the creation of conditions to facilitate investment.

 

In this context, Manuel Augusto highlighted the agreement on the migratory sector that will facilitate the movement of businessmen of two countries.

 

Regarding higher education, he said that this is a permanent concern of the Angolan Government, hence the need to take advantage of the Uruguayan experience.

 

Regarding specific training, he considered it essential to establish a mechanism for cooperation with specialized education institutions in diplomatic politics.

 

On the occasion, Minister Manuel Augusto stressed the excellent relations between the two countries, adding that from a bilateral point of view there is cooperation in several areas, with emphasis on tourism and agro-business.

 

In his turn, Uruguay's Foreign Minister Rodolfo Nin Novoa, considered the visit satisfactory, after the two countries have the same view of world problems.

 

On the basis of these meetings is the strengthening of cooperation between the two countries, whose diplomatic relations began on 26 March 1988.

 

The return of the Foreign Minister of the Eastern Republic of Uruguay is set for February 20.
