2016 State's General Account passes in Parliament's specialty commissions

Luanda, ANGOLA, February 12 - The opinion-report on the 2016 State?s General Account last Monday was approved by the specialty commissions of the National Assembly, thus it is ready to be submitted to the plenary of the National Assembly (Angolan Parliament).,

The members of the specialty commissions reiterated the need to implement the recommendations made by the Audit Court.

ANGOP has learnt that the 2016 State’s General Account was not analysed and approved by the MPs in 2017 due to the electoral process that took place in that year, which also brought about changes in the Audit Court administration that caused such delay.

As regards the document, opposition CASA-CE MP Lindo Bernardo Tito, expressed his concern about the fact that the said financial document of the government presents expenses that are higher than the revenues.

Meanwhile, still on Monday’s specialty commissions sessions, the MPs passed with 20 votes in favour and three abstentions the Bill on Public-Private Partnerships.

The MPs also analysed the bill on Alteration of the Civil Aviation Law, which is to be harmonised with the international norms, as well as the Bill on Crude-Oil Exploration Activities, among other bills.
