Luanda, ANGOLA, January 31 - A multidisciplinary delegation left for Luena city, eastern Moxico, to initiate the exhumation and bones? confirmation process of the former historical leader of the opposition UNITA party, Jonas Savimbi. ,

This is first out of three stages involved in this process, which entails: exhumation, removal and burial of Jonas Savimbi’s remains, which died in combat February 22 of 2022, whose process UNITA intends to see concluded up to June this year.    

According to UNITA’s Press Secretary, Lourenço Bento, the DNA tests are due to be conducted in Angola, South Africa and Portugal and must be concluded within 15 to 20 days.
