Uige, ANGOLA, January 30 - Two former members of northern Uíge Provincial Government, former justice and human rights delegate Miguel Kutoca and the former director of Commerce, Industry and Hotel, Boseke Mayamona Mansony, have been detained since last Monday in this city, accused by the Attorney General's Office (PGR) in the practice of various crimes.,

 

According to the source of PGR who confirmed Wednesday the news of the detainees, the first will respond to crimes of embezzlement for infractions committed since 2012, being accused of embezzling more than 400 million kwanzas from the funds allocated to their portfolio, used in their own benefit to purchase vehicles and real estate.

 

Miguel Kutoca is still being charged in the practice of active corruption for attempting to bribe the magistrate who investigates the case. He was also Deputy Governor for Social Affairs of Uíge Province and, until the date of his arrest, served as an advisor to the current Minister of Justice and Human Rights.

 

Boseke Mayamona Mansony, who has also been in custody for a few days, has been indicted on charges of embezzlement, abuse of authority, falsification of documents and association of wrongdoers, acts performed as a director of the institution.
