SME in Cabinda issues tourist visas on land border of Massabi
According to a note from the SME reached Wednesday, Angop, a specific documentary management system was installed in a network at the border post of Massabi, in line of Presidential Decree 56/18, February, which establishes the exemption and facilitation of visas, on the system of simplification of administrative procedures for the granting of tourist visas to foreign citizens.
The equipment has already issued visas since August 2018 to facilitate the entry of foreigners who intend to carry out tourist, recreational, cultural, sports and business visits, in a period of 30 days, extendable to 90 days.
Without disclosing how many visas were already issued, it validates multiple entries to stay up to 30 days per entry and ninety days of stay per year.
This system works only in the Border Post of Massabi, where there is a greater migratory movement of foreign citizens, mainly European tourists, who enter to the province of Cabinda via Ponta-Negra / Republic of Congo Brazzaville, to reach other points of the country.
The SME in Cabinda is in control of six land border posts, namely Massabi and Miconje, in the north with Congo Brazaville, Yema, Beira Nova, Chimbuandi and Chiobo, South and Southeast with the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
It also controls seven crossing points such as Yabi, Zenze Lucula, Necuto, Tsucusso, Kingubi, Tendenquele, Chingundo and Pinto da Fonseca, with the DRC, as well as one (1) air checkpoint and two (2) maritime units (Cabinda and Malongo).
