SME expel over 2000 illegal foreigners

Luanda, ANGOLA, January 22 - The Migration and Foreigners Service (SME) have expelled 2.248 citizens of different nationalities last week by administrative and judicial decision, plus 1,200 deportations in relation to the previous week.,

Most of the expelled foreigners, are from Central and West Africa countries, who infringed the Law on the entry and stay in Angolan territory.

According to a document to which Angop had access Tuesday, in the last seven days, 173 foreigners were still detained for permanence stay, aid for illegal immigration and for lack of documents.

The SME have fined 68 citizens of different nationalities and four private companies and prevented from leaving the country 25 Angolans due to lack of means of subsistence, bad state of conservation of the passports, by use of residence card of Portugal while trying to go to France (Paris).

There are also impediments, due to the ban imposed by the Attorney General of the Republic (PGR), the Criminal Investigation Service (SIC), lack of parental travel authorization and an international vaccination card.
