Authorities to step up operation "Resgate"

Luanda, ANGOLA, January 16 - The actions of the operation "Rescue" will be increased in the coming days, throughout the country, after having known a closure to ensure the festive season, said Wednesday in Luanda, the commander general of the corporation, Paulo de Almeida.,


The "Rescue" operation aims, among other objectives, to restore state authority and takes place in the country's 18 provinces, with the involvement of a sufficient number of personnel and technical means for the success of the work, whose outcome has no definite date.


Speaking at the opening of the National Police Consultative Council, Paulo de Almeida pointed out that there have been resentments and disobediences on the part of some citizens, within the scope of this operation, vowing to restore order in the coming times and reduce the upward trend of crimes in the country.


He also said that the National Police will update this year the model of policing (in urban, peripheral, suburban and rural areas).


According to Paulo de Almeida, it is also expected the approval of the proposal of the Organic Regulation of the corporation, as well as the draft Basic Law of the corporation and the Statute of the Police.


He said that these are valuable and necessary instruments for the proper management and control of all organization and functioning of the National Police.
