Penal Code Bill to get final vote on January 23

Luanda, ANGOLA, January 14 - The National Assembly will on January 23 proceed to give its final appraisal of the bills on the new Penal Code, Juridical Regime of Foreigners as well as the one on Freedom of Religion, Belief and Worship. ,

The information was given last Friday, in Luanda, by the spokesman of the National Assembly (Angolan Parliament), Raul Lima, in the end of a meeting of parliamentary whips chaired by the Speaker of the House, Fernando da Piedade Dias dos Santos.

 

The January 23 plenary session will also vote in general terms on five new draft-laws, namely on Value-added Tax, Special Consumption Tax, Amendment of the Labour Income Tax Code and Amendment of the Industrial Tax Code, as well as the general aspects of the draft-law on the Organisation and Functioning of Official Peddling, Fair and Market Trading.

 

The said parliamentary session is also expected to vote on three legislative authorisations for the President of the Republic, in his capacity as head of the Executive, among other legal tools and documents that the MPs are to analyse.
