EU, Japan and US met in Washington D.C.

In Washington D.C. on 9 January, EU Trade Commissioner Cecilia Malmström met with Hiroshige Sekō, Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan, and US Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer.
The three met as part of the trilateral talks launched in 2017, to address global issues such as trade-distortive practices.
After their meeting, the three issued a joint statement.
