KEMP, Texas, Dec. 11, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Larson Electronics, a Texas-based company with over 40 years of experience spearheading the industrial lighting sector, announced the release of an explosion proof high intensity LED light plant featuring a rotating boom allowing for 360˚ of rotation, a removable mast head, four-corner skid pockets, and input/output whips for daisy chaining multiple units together. This three-stage telescoping light mast deploys 600 watts of intense LED lighting for hazardous locations.

The Larson Electronics LM-SMXB-EPL-30-14-4X150RT-LED-E2E-2KLBS explosion proof three-stage light plant provides a safe and effective way for operators to quickly deploy 600 watts of intense lighting to elevations up to thirty feet in hazardous locations.

The LM-SMXB-EPL-30-14-4X150RT-LED-E2E-2KLBS explosion proof light mast can be extended to 30 feet and collapsed to 14 feet with the ability to withstand winds up to 125 mph when lowered to 14 feet and up to 55 mph winds when fully elevated. This unit operates on 120 volts or 250 volts and features four, 150-watt explosion proof LED lamps that emit 70,000 lumens of light with a color temperature of 5,000K. This unit’s beam configuration can be set to 60˚ for wide area light requirements or 125˚ for extreme wide area light requirements.

Larson Electronics’ explosion proof light mast features two junction boxes with one at the top of the mast and one at the base. This unit is made of square steel tubing with a lower section measuring 11.27 feet long and 4” x 4” by 1/8” thick, a middle section measuring 10.73 feet long and 3” by 3” by 1/8” thick, and an upper section measuring 10.63 feet long and 2” by 2” by 1/8” thick with a one-foot overlap between sections. This light mast is elevated using a 2,500 lbs. manual winch that is included.

This unit’s LED lamps are fastened to the light boom’s mast head and includes an adjustable trunnion U-bracket to maintain stability and allows the light to be vertically adjusted 180˚. This unit comes with 16/3 chemical and abrasion resistant SOOW cord and is rated for Class I, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups C and D; Class II, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups E, F and G; and Class III hazardous locations. This unit is suitable for temporary lighting situations, construction sites and for security camera deployment.
