Minister wants rigor in setting up agricultural cooperatives

Saurimo, ANGOLA, December 8 - The need for greater rigor on the part of the directors of the Provincial Offices of the Former Combatants and Veterans of the Homeland, in the process of land legalization and the establishment of agricultural cooperatives, and not only, was reinforced by the Minister of the sector, João Ernesto dos Santos Liberdade. ,

The minister spoke Friday during the closing of the XIX Consultative Council of the organ, which took place in Saurimo from 6 to 7 this month under the motto "For a reconciled and inclusive Angola, we value the former combatant, the Veteran of the homeland and the Disabled of War".

He stated that the insertion of these cooperatives should only serve those who are assisted and not for other purposes, and the offices should work to identify and promote other ways that can guarantee the economic sustainability of the Former Combatants, taking advantage of the potential of each region.

For the success of this project, the minister directs the National Directorate for Socio-Economic Assistance and Reintegration to better restructure its way of acting, in order to support the provincial offices in the reorganization of this set of actions.

Likewise, the office and the directorate of assistance and reintegration must work strongly in the mobilization of the Former Combatants (AC), so that they can join and participate in this productive process.
