KEMP, Texas, Nov. 07, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Larson Electronics, a Texas-based company with over 40 years of experience spearheading the industrial lighting and equipment sectors, announced the release of a 45 KVA power distribution panel that converts 480V AC three-phase electrical current into 208Y/120 three-phase. This unit is NEMA 3R rated for indoor or outdoor use and gives operators the ability to power their 240V and 120V equipment from a single system.

The Larson Electronics MPD-480-45KVA-1X208.60A-3X208.30A-2X120.20A-50C power distribution substation converts 480V AC three phase electrical current into 208Y/120 three phase. On the primary side, operators connect three phase 480 volt line-in power via 50` of #6 Type W cord. On the secondary side, operators connect to one 460R9W and three L15-30R receptacles for 240V equipment and to two 5-20R GFCI receptacles for 120V equipment. This model is equipped with forklift skid pockets, locking casters, and a top located lifting eyelet allows easy lifting with cable or chain hooks.

The MPD-480-45KVA-1X208.60A-3X208.30A-2X120.20A-50C portable power substation features a primary side where operators can connect three-phase 480V line-in power with 50 feet of #6 Type W cord and a secondary side where operators can connect to one, 460R9W and three, L15-30R receptacles for 240V equipment, as well as connect to two, 5-20R GFCI receptacles for 120V equipment. All receptacles feature weatherproof covers. 

The primary disconnect in the power substation contains three, 60-amp time delay fuses and passes 480V three-phase through to the transformer. The secondary side feeds a 208Y/120V three-phase 125-amp main-lug-only NEMA 3R panel. This panel contains one, 60-amp, three-pole 250V breaker that protects one, 60-amp 250V 460R9W receptacle as well as three, 30-amp, three-pole 250V breakers that protect three, 30-amp 250V L15-30R receptacles and two, 20-amp 125V 1P breakers that protect two, 20-amp 125V 5-20R GFCI receptacles.

A 3/16” thick carbon steel mounting platform holds the transformer and load assembly. The load center and distribution assembly mounted on a standard 2” x 2” x 1/8” square carbon steel tubing frame. This unit comes equipped with forklift skid pockets, locking casters and a lifting eyelet on top for lifting with cable or chain hooks. Ideal applications include construction sites, plant maintenance, plant turnarounds, shows, exhibits and shipyard operations.
