Namibian diplomat highlights agreements with Angola

Luanda, ANGOLA, October 30 - The Namibian ambassador to Angola, Claudia Grace Uushona, stressed on Tuesday in Luanda the importance of existing agreements between the two countries in different sectors. ,

Cláudia Grace Uushona, speaking to the press after a meeting with the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, highlighted the agreements and memoranda related to health, agriculture, fisheries, energy, water, higher education, as well as defense and security.

At the end of the mission in Angola, the diplomat referred to the historic ties of friendship between Angolans and Namibians and thanked the Angolan authorities for their support during her eight-year mission.

Angola and Namibia have had official relations since 18 September 1990, the date of the signing of the General Agreement on Cooperation and the Establishment of the Joint Commission.

The two countries cooperate in the fields of defense, industry, trade, energy, fisheries, public works, air and road transport, tourism, among others.
