Angola attends Italy/Africa conference
The Italian Foreign Affairs Ministry has mentioned 46 African countries, 34 represented at ministerial level and 13 international organisations, including the African Union, in a total of 350 delegates, as having confirmed their presence in the conference.
The event, held Wednesday, is discussing topics such as the "economic growth and sustainable development in Africa: challenges and opportunities,"
Other issues include "political stability and security. The African response to global and local threats "and" Human development.
Joint approach and the issue in a perspective that includes: Culture, education and mobility ", are also part of debate.
The host country’s President Sergio Mattarella, the Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte, Vice President of the Commission of the African Union Kwesi Quartey, are also attending the conference.
The Angolan top diplomat was received by his Italian counterpart, Enzo Moavero Milanesi, with whom he addressed issues of bilateral interest.
Manuel Augusto also met with the Director-General of UN Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO), the Brazilian Graziano da Silva.
