EU and Indonesia complete sixth round of negotiations for a trade agreement

The sixth round of negotiations for an EU-Indonesia free trade agreement took place from 15 to 19 October in Palembang, Indonesia.
Discussions were fruitful and both teams continued to make progress across the board. The EU presented new text proposals on transparency and general regulatory practices for discussion.
After having exchanged initial offers in tariffs in goods at the last round, the teams also held constructive discussions on initial offers in services and investments.
As usual, a report covering each aspect of the negotiations, as well as two new EU text proposals, will be published on our website in the next couple of weeks. The next round is planned for 11 to 15 March 2019 in Brussels.
