President backs transformation of resources into real wealth
Luanda, ANGOLA, September 18 - Angola’s Head of State João Lourenço Tuesday in Luanda stressed the need to turn Angola's vast resources into real wealth with a view to ensuring the progress and significant improvement of the people's living standards.

João Lourenço was speaking during the official talks between Angola and Portugal held at Presidential Palace in Luanda, as part of visit by Portugal's Prime Minister António Costa to Angola, since last Monday.
As for the country's efforts to achieve these goals, the head of State said that Angola relies on the participation of the main international partners, including Portugal.
The president acknowledged existing between Angola and Portugal an independent and sovereign states’ relationship.
He said both governments have the responsibility for outlining policies that guarantee a strong cooperation in various fields and strengthening ties of friendship and economic cooperation.
The president recalled that the relations between Angola and Portugal are historical, secular and with a deep emotional, friendship and solidarity between their peoples.
On the ongoing talks, focused on review of bilateral relations, João Lourenço recommended realistic and objective attitude to ensure fruitful bonds now and in the future.
Antonio Costa, who ends his visit to Angola this Tuesday, announced the increase in the credit line to support exports from 1 billion Euros to 1.5 billion Euros.
