PASADENA, Calif., Sept. 04, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Leading medical researchers and clinicians from around the globe will gather in Pasadena, California, on September 5-7, 2018, to attend the sixth annual International Conference on Human Milk Science and Innovation (ICHMSI) and discuss the latest scientific research on human milk and its expanding clinical applications.

The ICHMSI is the premier forum for thought leaders and medical experts in human milk science and research. This year’s conference will include opening and closing remarks by co-chairs Lars Bode, Ph.D., University of California San Diego, and William D. Rhine, M.D., Stanford University School of Medicine. The keynote address will be given by Josef Neu, M.D., University of Florida College of Medicine.

The conference will also include a presentation by Steven D. Townsend, Ph.D., the second recipient of the Ruth A. Lawrence Investigator Award for Research in Human Milk Science. The annual award was created in 2017 to recognize a medical fellow or postdoctoral scholar for his or her research in the science of human milk.
