Angolan president meets with his Chinese counterpart
Beijing, ANGOLA, September 3 - Angolan president, João Lourenço, met with his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping, on Sunday, in the eve of the onset of the III Forum on Africa-China Cooperation (FOCAC) taking place Monday and Tuesday.,
The meeting, which focused on the analysis of the bilateral cooperation between the Asian country and Africa in general, took place at people’s palace in Beijing.
The Angolan head of State, who is since Saturday in Beijing, is participating for the first time in the Africa-China Cooperation Forum, since his election in August 2017.
The Foreign Affairs and Finance ministers, Manuel Augusto and Archer Mangueira, respectively among others, also integrate the Angolan delegation led by the president.
The Forum on Africa-China, which is taking place in Chinese territory for the second time after 2006, is a platform for consultation and collective dialogue aimed at strengthening understanding, deepen friendship bonds and intensify and promote cooperation.
