Deputy President David Mabuza will answer questions for oral reply from Members of Parliament in the National Assembly (NA) tomorrow, Thursday 30 August 2018.

The six questions which Deputy president Mabuza is scheduled to cover include the following topics: Government’s programmes to continue building on Madiba’s legacy of forging national unity and social cohesion; socio-economic inequalities, plans to reduce the rising unemployment rate, how Government is ensuring that the economy is regulated in a manner that results in investment in township, what is the status of the Government’s decision on lifestyle audits of the members of the national executive, and what were the recommendations of the Human Resource Development Council of South Africa at its third Summit in may 2018 - where it launched the revised strategy towards 2013.

Answering questions is one way in which Parliament holds the executive to account.

Some of the rules applicable to questions to oral the Deputy President from National Assembly Members are that they must be scheduled once a month during session time, must be limited to matters of national importance, the number of questions is limited to six and the total time for replies and associated supplementary questions may not exceed three hours.
