Angola: Law on religious-related activities gets green light

During the session, chaired by the president João Lourenço, the members also adopted the mechanisms for setting up, modification and extinction of religious institutions.
The Draft Law on Freedom of Religion, Belief and Worship, will be forwarded to the National Assembly for approval.
The session also appreciated the Regulation on Community Listening Councils.
These legal instruments sets rules for the organisation and operation of organs of consultation of the State Local Administration and promote the participation of various actors in public life.
The meeting also focused on Model Report to be presented by the Local Government Administration, aimed at increasing the sense of transparency, accountability and monitoring, which require the Local Government Bodies to comply with assumptions that contribute to good governance.
In the field of environment, the meeting adopted the Regulation on the Import and Export of Endangered Species of Fauna and Flora.
