Govt approves Legal Regime on Compulsory Social Protection

Huambo, ANGOLA, August 28 - A Presidential Decree providing for the Legal Regime for Binding and Contributing to Compulsory Social Protection was approved Tuesday during a session of Cabinet Council held in central Huambo province, chaired by the head of State João Lourenço. ,

 

The Law is meant to improve the current legal regime, adjusting the legislation to the current state of the country's development as well as ensure the financial sustainability of mandatory social protection, according to the final communiqué emerged from the session.

 

The meeting also approved the Statute on Career of the Agents of the National System of Employment and Vocational Training.

 

The session also approved the Law on Legislative Authorisation aimed to grant the incumbent of the Executive the Power to legislate on the Legal Regime for Regularisation and Collection of Debt to Compulsory Social Protection, to be submitted to the National Assembly for approval.

 

In the field of public finances, the Cabinet approached the Presidential Decree approving the Regulation of the Collection System of Public Revenues.

 

The meeting also discussed the Draft Resolution approving Ratification of  Cooperation Agreement between the Governments of  Angola and the Republic of the Congo in the Field of Security and Public Order, as well as Memorandum of Understanding in the defence field with the Defence Ministry of United States.

 

The meeting also discussed the agreement on visa facilitation between Angola and China.
