Angola: Vice President arrives in Zimbabwe
Bornito de Sousa, who is representing the head of State João Lourenço, was received at the Robert Mugabe International Airport by Mines and Mining Development minister of Zimbabwe Winston Chitando, Angolan ambassador to Zimbabwe Hendrick Vaal Neto, and senior officials of his Office.
Angolan Vice President is also joining the representative of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR), the Speaker of the House of Representatives (Parliament) of Equatorial Guinea, and SADC Executive Secretary Stergomena Lawrence Tax, among the first guests.
Emmerson Mnangagwa, 71, who campaigned under the banner of ZANU-PF party, won the elections with 50.8 percent of the votes.
Zimbabwe held the Elections on 30 July this year.
Zimbabwe is member of the Southern African Development Community (SADC).
SADC comprises Angola, South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Tanzania, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Mauritius, Seychelles, Malawi, Swaziland, Lesotho, Zimbabwe, Madagascar, Mozambique and Zambia.
