China aims to improve investment structure with Angola

Luanda, ANGOLA, August 23 - Cooperation between Angola and China is in the process of improving quality and efficiency, with a view to better the structure of investment and financing. ,

The statement was made on Thursday in Luanda by the Chinese ambassador to Angola, Cui Aimin, during a press conference in which he presented the China-Africa Cooperation Forum (FOCAC) in Beijing, set for 03 and 04 September of the current year.

In this phase we are thinking about projects that can contribute to the development of Angola in the areas of industry, agriculture, health and education, said the diplomat for whom Angola's participation in FOCAC 2018 will be fundamental for closer bilateral cooperation.

Angola is currently China's main trading partner in Africa, while China has replaced the United States as Angola's main trading partner.

For Cui Aimin, Angola's participation in the forum will allow the country to be within what it called "China's new policies in collaboration with Africa."

Sino-Angolan relations are characterized, on the one hand, by the growing Chinese demand for oil and, on the other hand, the need for Angola's reconstruction and construction of infrastructures.
