João Lourenço attends SADC Heads of State and Government Summit
Luanda, ANGOLA, August 16 - The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, is leaving for Windhoek, Namibia, to attend Friday and Saturday the 38th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Southern African Development Community (SADC).,
At the summit, President Cyril Ramaphosa of South Africa will pass the testimony to the Head of State of Namibia, Hage Geingob, who will take over as acting Chairperson of SADC, according to a press release from the Civil House of the President of the Republic.
Foreign Affairs Minister, Manuel Augusto, and Ministers of Interior, Angelo Tavares, Economy and Planning, Pedro da Fonseca, and Industry, Bernarda Martins, comprises the presidential delegation.
SADC was created on August 17, 1992 in Windhoek, aims to promote economic and sustainable growth and development, alleviate poverty, increase the quality of life of the peoples of the region and provide aid to the most disadvantaged people.
