National Police New general commander clarifies on land litigation

Luanda, ANGOLA, August 3 - The new commander-in-chief of the National Police (PN), commissioner-general Paulo de Almeida, clarified on Thursday the land dispute that opposes him to a peasant in the Zango Zero zone, in Viana municipality, Luanda.,

Following the dispute, Paulo de Almeida was charged with an alleged violent outbreak of a farm of about 12 hectares, owned by the peasant Armando Manuel, for almost 40 years. The case was processed in the Supreme Court.

Speaking to the press, after being sworn in as commander-in-chief of the National Police , admitted the existence of the litigation.

He claimed that he acquired the land in 1998 through the Kikuxi Development and Utilization Office (GADAK).

He explained that the land was occupied by a citizen who, in turn, took the case to court, to settle the dispute, and the court passed a sentence in favor of Paulo de Almeida.

Beyond the first case, said that another citizen appeared with documents considered false to claim possession of the same space.
