MAT, Tocoist church discuss implementation of local governments
Luanda, ANGOLA, July 31 - Issues related to the implementation of the local governments topped Monday the meeting between the minister of Territory Administration and Reform of State, Adão de Almeida, and Bishop of Tocoist Church, Afonso Nunes. ,
Speaking to the press at the end of the two-hour audience, the Territory minister praised the relevant role played by Tocoist Church in society.

"The Tocoist Church plays a fundamental role in Angolan society, adding that it is very important to welcome its advices, " he said.
In turn, the Bishop Afonso Nunes said that the audience enabled the Church to give its vision on the implementation of the local governments, as well as to approach points of view in this matter with the Executive.
The Ministry of Territory Administration started on June a cycle of public hearing sessions on the legislative package that comprise the laws that will govern the process, under the first local elections set for 2020.
