ANGOLA, July 29 - Upon arrival in the country, the Head of State received warm greetings from the Vice-President of the Republic, Bornito de Sousa, the Speaker of the National Assembly, Fernando da Piedade Dias dos Santos, the governor of Luanda, Adriano Mendes de Carvalho, auxiliaries of the Executive, among other individualities.

In South Africa, in addition to speaking at the summit that brought together Heads of State and Government of the five BRICS member countries (Brazil, China, Russia, India and South Africa), João Lourenço met with some statesmen in the framework of strengthening cooperation.

The President of the Republic met with counterparts from China, Xi Jinping of Russia, Vladimir Putin, and Turkey, Recep Erdogan, among other guests.

The three-day Summit had as its motto "BRICS in Africa: Collaboration for Inclusive Growth and Shared Prosperity in the Fourth Industrial Revolution."
