“The future of youth football is reliant on our ability to teach kids safer and better ways to practice in order to avoid serious injuries – from the first day of practice until the last,” said Steve Flanagan, president & COO of Shadowman Sports. “We’re thrilled to be associated with such a prestigious organization dedicated to training young athletes around the world. Through this partnership, the academy is now better equipped to teach the proper rugby-style tackling techniques and simulate in-game action during practice while reducing player-on-player contact and the chances of injuries.”

The Pro Football Hall of Fame Academy is training athletes using Shadowman Sports’ equipment in the Americas, Asia and Europe. These camps are led by Pro Football Hall of Famer, Rod Woodson among other former National Football League (NFL) coaches and players. Athletes experience what is considered the gold standard of football training as they go through NFL combine-like drills and are educated on the process of the game.

“Shadowman Sports is on the cutting edge of football training and has dramatically helped us teach tackling in an exciting and safe environment,” said Richard McGuinness, founder of the Pro Football Hall of Fame Academy. “They will change the game with their continued emphasis on safety.”

Shadowman Sports continues to place a focus on educating athletes of all ages on the proper techniques of rugby-style tackling in an effort to make playing the game safer. The preventative equipment emphasizes safe tackling through a low center of gravity, target zones, bent knee posture and a realistic player form. Its Shadowman Junior and Pro tackling systems are transforming how coaches from the youth to the professional level are approaching practice and player safety.
