Daryl Davis is an expert on race relations, and the author of “Klan-Destine Relationships: A Black Man’s Odyssey through the Ku Klux Klan.” Davis has spent much of his life trying to understand and stop racism, including engaging with Klan members to help them find common ground across racial lines. Several Klan members have given up their robes as a result of these ongoing dialogues. Davis is also a talented blues musician, and has played with some of the greats including Chuck Berry and Jerry Lee Lewis. Davis is the subject of the award-winning documentary Accidental Courtesy.
