Northern Power Systems Reports Results of Annual General Meeting of Shareholders

BARRE, Vt., July 09, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Northern Power Systems Corp. (TSX:NPS), a next generation renewable energy technology company, today announced that all nominees listed in the Information Circular and Proxy Statement of Northern Power, dated June 5, 2018, for the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders held June 27, 2018 in Barre, VT (the “Meeting”) were elected as directors of Northern Power.  The seven (7) candidates nominated for election were elected by a majority of the shareholders present in person or represented by proxy at the Meeting, as follows:

In addition, at the Meeting (i) the resolution to ratify the appointment of RSM US LLP as Northern Power’s independent registered public accounting firm for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2018; (ii) the resolution to set the size of the board of the Company at seven; (iii) the resolution to amend the Company’s 2014 Stock Option and Incentive Plan to increase the number of common shares available for issuance under the plan by 2,000,000 shares from 4,000,000 shares to 6,000,000 shares were each approved by the requisite majority of the votes cast at the Meeting.
