Luanda, ANGOLA, July 3 - Angolan head of State João Lourenço congratulated Tuesday his US counterpart Donald Trump on celebration of the country’s independence on July 4, Angop has learnt.

In the message, João Lourenço described the date as of historical significance to determination of American people.
"I would like to express the Angolan Government's desire to see our friendship and cooperation ties strengthened in the various fields," reads the massage.
Thirteen American colonies declared independence from British Empire on July 4, 1776.
The United States and Angola enjoy formal diplomatic relations since 1993, with stress to energy sector.
