Huambo, ANGOLA, July 3 - The improvement of the services performed by the Unit of Protocol Individualities Protection (UPIP) demands serious commitment to permanent training of staff on this specialty and procedures, while fulfilling missions. ,

This was said on Monday by the second commander of the National Police in central Huambo Province, sub-commissioner Joaquim Manuel Pereira, while addressing 25 th UPIP anniversary.

  

According to the commander, UPIP needs to improve the capacity of protection and communication based on the rules of protocol, besides providing skills for prompt reactions, to efficiently neutralize any acts that would jeopardize the physical integrity of the official and his family that is being protected.

 

UPIP was created in June 30 of the year1993 and is tasked with protecting  national and foreign personalities,  as stipulated in its regulation.
