SADC PF transformation into regional parliament reaches consensus
Luanda, ANGOLA, June 29 - The transformation of the Southern Africa Development Community Parliamentary Forum (SADC PF) into a regional parliament reached consensus amongst the members of this institution chaired by Angola.

The issue, which is the top subject being discussed at 43rd meeting of SADC PF taking place in Luanda, Angola, is due to be submitted to the next summit of Heads of State of the community to take place in August in Namibia.
Speaking to the press, on the fringes of the meeting, the Zimbabwean Parliament Speaker, Jacob Francis Mudenda, said there is consensus in transforming the Forum into a regional parliament, underscoring that his country back up this goal.
The Zimbabwean diplomat also said that the will of all members of SADC PF is that this goal should be achieved, envisaging that the issue gain new dynamic in August during the Heads of State summit.
The Angolan mandate terminates in November this year being Mozambique the country to take up the lead of SADC PF.
