According to the Secretary of State of the Ministry of Territory Administration and Reform of the State, Márcio de Jesus Lopes Daniel, who lectured on the topic, the Executive proposes to implement the municipal elections in a phased way, from 2020, towards the administrative deconcentration.

 

In this sense, the State intends, gradually, to transform municipal administrations into service centers, providing human resources, technical and financial resources so that when it comes time to institutionalize municipalities, only the name changes.

 

As for the voting criteria of the municipal elections, Márcio Daniel said that it is different in relation to the general elections, since each citizen of legal age will vote in the municipality where he / she lives.
