Diplomat highlights inclusive policies adopted by Angolan authorities

Luanda, ANGOLA, June 9 - The Angolan ambassador to Botswana, Beatriz Morais, has recently emphasised that Angola has been conducting a process of consolidating peace based on inclusive policies that enable the dilution of incomprehension and reinstates trust, with a view to promoting healthy and stable relationships in society. ,

The Angolan diplomat made this statement in the capital of Botswana, when receiving a delegation from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), led by its Southern Africa and Indian Ocean chief representative, Hiroko Miyamura.  

 

Beatriz Morais explained to the UNDP delegation the present political environment in Angola, as well as the efforts being made by the Angolan Executive to maintain stability, security and stimulate national prosperity.  

 

She also highlighted the government’s Macro-Economic Programme and the 2018-2022 National Development Programme (PND), which encompass a series of policies intended to substantially improve the well-being of Angolan families.

 

The preparation of the first local elections in Angola, the fight against corruption and nepotism, as well as the reform work of President João Lourenço, which has been lauded by some international circles, were also mentioned by the diplomat Beatriz Morais at the meeting with the UNDP delegation, among other pertinent international and regional issues.
