Chevron invests USD one billion in energy field
Luanda, ANGOLA, June 7 - The Chevron oil company will soon invest one billion US dollars in the waste gas connection line in Sanha (Soyo), northern Zaire province.

The project will provide gas to the Angola LNG plant, located in Soyo, the chairman of the US company's board of director, Mike Wirth, announced Wednesday in Luanda at the end of a meeting with the Angolan Head of State, João Lourenço.
According to Mike Wirth, for the completion of the project, Chevron is awaiting the approval of engineering contracts from Sonangol.
The official said that he discussed with President João Lourenço aspects related to investment opportunities in Angola, particularly in the energy field.
At a time when Chevron and Angola celebrate 65 years of partnership, Mike Wirth, who has been leading the company since last February, welcomed the commitment of the Angolan Head of State, demonstrated in the oil industry sector.
Chevron, based in the United States of America, is one of the largest oil companies in the world.
