Over 40% of Keynotes at First-Ever EOS Block Producers Summit to be Delivered by Women & PoC -- including from IBM, CityGrows and Uinspire

SAN FRANCISCO, June 06, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Tulip Conference 2018, the inaugural next-generation Blockchain conference, is announcing the final industry leaders to join its esteemed and diverse roster of 85+ speakers. The latest keynotes include Marquis Cabrera, Global Leader of Digital Government Transformation at IBM; Catherine Geanauracos, CEO of CityGrows; and Mikael Ekman, Chief Advisor and Deputy Tech Ambassador of Denmark’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

As the first-ever global EOS block producers summit, Tulip is actively promoting diverse representation in crypto leadership and engagement.   Cabrera has advised senior government officials in countries like Switzerland, Australia, Belgium, and Dubai on emerging technologies such as blockchain.   Geanauracos founded CityGrows to bring government operations online with Github-inspired tech and make them cloud-hosted, free from up-front costs, collaborative, and transparent. • Kieran Arasaratnam, Founder of Uinspire
  Arasaratnam’s social enterprise platform, Uinspire, is disrupting the old models of impact investment. He has over 15 years of experience in investment banking, including at Barclays Capital in Singapore,  Morgan Stanley in New York, and HSBC in London, where he served as head of global macro FX structuring. This January, he launched the Uinspire Digital Academy to offer digital training, leadership, and communication skills to empower underprivileged youths in his native Sri Lanka.
   
• Mikael Ekman, Deputy Tech Ambassador of Denmark’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs
  Ekman’s work includes promoting Danish interests abroad finding strong, creative solutions to the global challenges of the 21st Century..Currently serving as Chief Advisor and Deputy to the World's first Technology Ambassador.  Ekman is based out of Silicon Valley, California. The Danish Technology team spearhead the efforts to make digital and technological developments a key Danish foreign policy priority.

When asked why he was speaking at Tulip Conference, Mikael Ekman explained, “We feel blockchain is probably one of the defining technologies post industrial age.  It is one of those technologies that you overestimate the effect on the short run and underestimate the effect on the long run. Blockchain has the capabilities for smart contracts, money transfer, transparently displaying public services, foreign policy and fighting corruption in developing countries.”
