Belgium, ANGOLA, June 5 - the Angolan government has exhausted the capacity to employ new manpower in the civil service and, for solution, it promotes the creation of jobs in the private sector.

"The job offer is not big and we have to invest in the private sector", the Head of State, João Lourenço, said in Brussels on Monday.
According to the statesman, who spoke at a meeting with the Angolan community in the Kingdom of Belgium and Luxembourg, the way forward is now to focus on creating a better business environment.
As a result of this move, the head of the Executive hopes that more private investors will be attracted to the country and bring new jobs.
Angola has 385,423 public servants, mostly linked to the education and health sectors which represent 67% of the total number of civil servants.
In January this year, President João Lourenço admitted that "the public service has a surplus of workers", stressing that "improvement of salaries in the civil service must be accompanied by its reduction."
