Police get reinforced with modern means to ensure border security
Luanda, ANGOLA, May 28 - Border Police (PGF) upgrade their technical and human means to better respond to the requirements and ensure the inviolability of national borders.

This was announced Monday in Luanda by the second Commander-General of Police, Paulo Almeida.
The modernisation include the installation, operation and reaction conditions to ensure safety on national borders, due to the illicit situations that occur there.
Speaking at the opening of the 14th Conference of National Heads of Interpool and Directors of Criminal Investigation, Paulo de Almeida said that similar service should take place in the Tax Police.
The corporation vow to effectively prevent crimes of economic nature.
As for the Public Order, he said, the police will have another acting character, more proactive and closer to the citizen, adapting their actions to the circumstances, as the criminal activity is also dynamic.
The commander also announced the police's plan to re-organise the private security companies.
According to him, security firms’ failure to provide adequate assurance has often leading in recent times to various cases of robberies in banking institutions.
Paulo de Almeida said the event is taking place at a time the police are intensifying actions to prevent and combat transnational organised crime, such as drug trafficking, human trafficking, robbery and cross-border theft of vehicles, money laundering, among others.
