Co-operation with Angola based on respect and reciprocity

Luanda, ANGOLA, May 23 - Angola will continue to focus on co-operation and amity with all the peoples of the world, based on respect and reciprocity of advantages, said last Wednesday in Luanda the Angolan Foreign minister, Manuel Augusto.,

Speaking at the 8th Meeting of Angolan Ambassadors, being held in Luanda until Friday, in an initiative of the Foreign Affairs Ministry, Manuel Augusto stated that the country’s diplomacy is turned to concrete actions, giving as example the recent signing of some agreements with neighbouring countries.

The Foreign Affairs Ministry has been adapting itself, he said, to better correspond to the country’s interests in the international domain.

According to the programme of the meeting – whose opening session is to be chaired by the Head of State, João Lourenço – the event includes the handover of merit diplomas to eight ambassadors that this year will enter retirement.

ANGOP has learnt that this is an annual methodological gathering intended to tune up the performance of the Angolan diplomacy in face of the existing new challenges.

The gathering is scheduled to end on Friday, 25 May.
