Foreign Ministry sacks ambassador Joaquim do Espírito Santo
Luanda, ANGOLA, May 22 - Angola's Foreign Affairs minister Manuel Augusto fired the director for Africa, Middle East and Regional Organisations Joaquim do Espírito Santo.

In separate dispatches, Manuel Augusto also sacked the minister Counsellor of Angolan Embassy in Tel Aviv, Israel, João Diogo Fortunato.
The two officials were discharged due to their failure to comply with the procedures related to domestic decision.
Their failure to abide by the decision was regarded as an attempt to harm Angola's good name and image before the countries it enjoys a historic diplomatic ties.
In its Tuesday Edition, Angola’s State-run Newspaper alludes to the fact of Minister Counselor João Diogo Fortunato to have attended the inauguration of US Embassy in Jerusalem, with the assent of Joaquim do Espírito Santo, then director for Africa, Middle East and Regional Organisations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Mirex).

Eighty-six countries were invited to be part of inauguration ceremony, with majority having shunned the event.
