Executive recommends discussion on local governments
Luanda, ANGOLA, May 21 - The Angolan government Monday recommended at a meeting of the Council of Ministers that the legal documents relating to the process of holding local governments in
the country must be submitted to political consultation for enrichment and improvement.

The recommendation of the Council of Ministers follows the favorable assessment on Monday by the auxiliary body of the President of the Republic of those legal instruments, which must also be submitted to the National Assembly.
Among the legal tools are the organic laws on the Organization and Functioning of Local Governments, Institutionalization of Local Elections, Local Finance and on Transfer,
Attributions and Competencies for Local Authorities.
The aim of the public discussions is to gather opinions and solutions on the principle of gradualism, according to the Constitution of the Republic of Angola, as well as to obtain a
contribution.
The 5th Ordinary of the Council of Ministers assessed the law that establishes the technical specifications and provisions on the difference and the use of the flag, the insignia and the
national anthem.
