Minister recommends programme to fight against crime

Luanda, ANGOLA, May 9 - Angolan Interior Minister Ângelo Veiga Tavares has recommended the implementation of a programme tailored to combat crime, mainly in the province of Luanda. ,

 

Speaking at Consultative Council of General Command of Police on Wednesday in Luanda, the minister said the objective is to provide adequate response to the violent crimes.

 

 

He directed a deep prevention work, as well as the conditions for a tougher response to the cases of violent crimes.

 

Ângelo Veiga Tavares said it was crucial to improve and modernise the management of human resources as well as develop and act with a greater sense of justice toward the mobility of staff in order to timely ensuring their fair evaluation and adequate promotion.

 

This process should boost and increase the motivation and performance of the staff, providing better opportunities to those who stand out in their performance, he added.

 

On the other hand, the official asked for more discipline, strictness, control and work from the perspective of community police.
