Governor calls for greater dedication to overcome municipalities' challenges

Cabinda, ANGOLA, May 9 - The provincial governor of Cabinda, Eugénio Laborinho, called the government members for greater dedication to the challenges for the implementation of the first municipal elections scheduled for 2020 in the country.,

The appeal was made during the closing of the first ordinary session of the provincial council, which took place in the local government palace.

 

Eugenio Laborinho therefore advocated the need to start an open and permanent discussions with the population on this challenge through governance proximity, for better understanding of the main concerns of the communities and the best ways to solve them.

 

The official emphasized that local elections constitute a challenge for the country in the coming times, which is why it demands from the members of the government a lot of  dedication, rigor and posture that will require hard work, creativity in order to achieve the objectives.

 

The conclave focused on topics such as "Uniformization of institutional communication of the provincial government", "Massification of civil registration and identity card issuance ", "Analysis of the situation of forest exploitation and its restocking", "Summary presentation of the execution budgetary and financial framework of the 2016 State Budget ", among others.
