Miami, May 08, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Beazley, the specialist insurer, has appointed Vicente Miranda as a specialty lines underwriter in its Miami office. He will be responsible for developing Beazley’s specialty lines portfolio with brokers and clients in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Mr Miranda joins from R&G Espinosa International Adjusters where, as commercial manager, he developed a strong business network in London, Miami, Latin America and the Caribbean. Prior to this, he worked as a financial lines underwriter at Swiss Re.

Najib Bousakr, Beazley’s international regional head for Latin America, said: “We have ambitious plans to grow our specialty lines business in Latin America and the Caribbean. Vicente’s previous experience in underwriting and insurance broking combined with his extensive network of contacts in the region, make him a valuable addition to our team.”
