Govt approves fighting poverty programme

The information is expressed in a press note from the 4th Ordinary Session, chaired by the President, João Lourenço.
The five-year programme contains a number of projects focused on the lives of families.
It includes local development conditions that contribute to the achievement of the Government's goals to significantly reduce the current levels of poverty.
The Session also approved a regulation that ensure the implementation of issuance, contracting, negotiation and management of the State Public Debt.
The regulation restricts and controls the State debt, covering all forms of representation of public debt.
The Commission also reviewed a Joint Executive Decree that contains rules regulating the amounts to be charged by the country's water supply companies.
This includes setting tariffs in each province, according to the actual consumption cost.
The session also approved the Programme for Support the Production, Export Diversification and Substitution of Imports (PRODESI).
The objective is to boost growth of national production, diversify exports and replace imports.
