Angola invited to join solar energy programme

Luanda, ANGOLA, May 7 - Angola has been invited to join the Indian solar energy programme, worth around USD 2 billion, with 120 member countries, as part of clean energy production. ,

 

 

Extended the invitation was the Indian ambassador to Angola, Sushil kumar Singhal, during an audience the Angolan Head of State, João Lourenço granted to him.

 

Sushil kumar Singhal, who presented farewell greeting to the Statesman, after more than one-year term, expressed hope that Angola will join the solar energy project, launched in partnership with France.

 

On the meeting with President, the diplomat said that audience evaluated the implementation of cooperation agreements in the fields of agriculture, mines and information technologies.

 

He believes that many agreements still have to be signed between the two countries to strengthen cooperation relations.

 

India is the world's seventh largest economy in nominal gross domestic product and the third in purchasing power parity.

 

It is also the third most developed in Asia in terms of nominal GDP, only behind Japan and China.
