Angola-Namibia relations satisfactory - Angolan President
Windhoek, ANGOLA, May 4 - The level of the political and diplomatic relations between Angola and Namibia is satisfactory and corresponds plainly to the expectations of both peoples, said last Thursday, in Windhoek, the Angolan Head of State, João Lourenço. ,
According to the Angolan statesman, besides the political and diplomatic relations, the two countries have also developed ties of affection that cause them to outline concrete and objective actions to strengthen the bilateral co-operation.
President João Lourenço was delivering a speech at an official reception provided by his Namibian counterpart, Hage Geinbob, in the ambit of the Angolan statesman’s visit to this neighbouring country.
The objective, clarified President Lourenço, is to propitiate a good environment for permanent and open dialogue about the various issues of bilateral, regional and continental interest.
He reminded that in view of the need for continuous reinforcement of the bilateral relations, there are actions being taken in the ambit of legal tools like the “General Economic, Scientific, Technical and Cultural Co-operation Accord” signed on 18 September 1990 and the Joint Bilateral Commission – which needs to be reinvigorated.
