Angolan ambassador presents copies of credential letters

Gaberone, ANGOLA, May 2 - The new Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Angola to Botswana Beatriz Antónia Manuel de Morais Wednesday in Gaborone presented her copies of credential letters to the Ministry of International Relations and Cooperation of that country. ,

 

Beatriz de Morais handed over the document to the minister of International Relations and Cooperation of Botswana, Vincent Seretse.

 

Both figures addressed issues of bilateral interest, having expressed satisfaction at the improvement of existing relations.

 

They also reiterated their determination to consolidate and deepen cooperation, under the Strategic Partnership Agreement between Angola and Botswana.

 

 

Beatriz Antónia Manuel de Morais was appointed to the post in last February by the Angolan head of State João Lourenço.

 

The new ambassador holds a degree in Law from Agostinho Neto University and a Master's Degree in International Relations from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

 

The diplomat was a professor of the SADC Regional Cooperation and Integration discipline at the Lusíada University of Angola.

She also served as the National Secretary for the Southern African Development Community (SADC) and National Contact Point of this institution in Angola.

 

The new representative of Angola holds a literary publication containing several articles, with stress to "Economic Integration Policies in SADC", "The Major Challenges of SADC in the Near Future" and "Southern Africa Regional Cooperation and Integration -  Angola's role ".
