Taking justice services closer to citizens deemed priority

Huambo, ANGOLA, April 24 - The vice governor for political and social matters of the central Huambo Province, Maricel Capama, said last Monday in this region that will take a lot of effort to take justice services closer and closer to the citizens. ,

Delivering a speech at the opening of the Legality Week, running until 28 April through an initiative of the Attorney-General Department, Maricel Capama said that the citizens’ access to justice must universal and equal for all.  

 

Thus, she exhorted the Attorney-General Department to spread its services to the eleven municipalities of Huambo Province and sensitise the citizens to resort to courts to sort out their conflicts.

 

The vice governor of Huambo Province stressed that the defence of legality reflects a loyal compromise of the Angolan State and enables, through its judicial system, the safeguarding of the citizens’ rights and the relevance of the Angolan Executive’s ideal of rooting out institutional corruption and impunity.

 

The Legality Week is happening under the motto “The Prosecution Office in the fight against corruption and impunity” and is also celebrating the 37th anniversary of the existence of the Attorney-General Department, to be marked on 27 April.
